How do I book a session? Head to our photographer booking page, pick your date and time slot, and complete your registration. Slots are limited and fill up fast so don't sit on it. If you'd like the whole field to yourself, please book both slots for your preferred time

How many photographers are allowed per slot? We cap it at 2 photographers per time slot. This keeps the field clear and your session completely uninterrupted, no strangers wandering into your frame.

Can I have mini sessions in one session? It's a lot to pull off in very little amount of time, so we're capping it at two mini sessions per session slot. Up to 5 guests or clients, 6 people total, including you.

How long is my session? You get 1 hour of field access plus 30 minutes of setup time before your session begins. Come with a vision and make the most of every minute.

What happens if my session goes longer? We totally get how fast time flies during a photo shoot, however, you will be asked to leave at the end of your session to respect other photographers' sessions. Please plan ahead as much as possible, so we don't have to be those people who kick ya out. 

How many guests or clients can I bring? Up to 5 guests or clients — 6 people total, including you.

What new setups are available this year? We're really excited about this. New for 2026, we have French doors with curtains set right in the rows and a stunning 10-piece styled tablescape for editorial and fine art shoots. These are exclusively available during photographer sessions and yours to use however you'd like.

What time are sessions available? Sessions run at 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM during the event window. There are only two sessions per time slot available. Golden hour in a peony field. (You're welcome)

How much does it cost? Sessions are $75/hour. Fresh cut peonies for your shoot are available on-site for $30 for 6 stems — cash only, no debit or credit in the field.

Can I do a professional shoot during general admission hours? No, and this is genuinely for your benefit as much as anyone else's. General admission hours are busy and open to the public, which means crowds in your frame, distractions, and a session that doesn't do your work justice. Your dedicated slot gives you private access, a clear field, and the time and space to actually create something beautiful. It's a much better experience for you and your clients, and it keeps the open garden enjoyable for everyone else too.

If you show up during general admission hours with professional equipment intending to shoot, you will be asked to leave and redirected to book a proper session. We'd much rather just see you in the right slot from the start.

What happens if the weather is bad? Calgary weather and farm weather are not always the same thing — and out here in the Foothills it can be completely clear while the city is getting rained on. If conditions look rough in Calgary but the field is clear, we ask that you reschedule rather than cancel. The blooms are only here for two weeks, and we want to make sure you get the best possible session.

If conditions make your session genuinely impossible, reach out as early as you can, and we'll find you another slot. We'd much rather rebook you than lose you.

What is the cancellation policy? We ask for rescheduling over cancellation wherever possible given the short bloom window and weather variability. Please reach out to us at [email protected] as early as you can if something comes up.

Can I use the photos however I want? Yes — the images are yours to use as you wish. All we ask is that you tag @parklandpeonies when sharing publicly. If you'd like to pass along any shots for our promotional use, we would absolutely love that and will always credit you properly.

Can I bring pets? No pets on the property, please.

What about parking? Your location map will be sent after booking — use that over Google Maps. Park diagonally along the side of the road, and please don't block it. The entrance is a loop so just follow it around and you're on your way.
